TOP STORY | POLICE OFFICER SHOT AND KILLED A SOLDIER IN HOEDSPRUIT, MOPANI DISTRICT

The Hoedspruit Police are investigating a murder case in which one of their members shot and killed a soldier at the gate of the Hoedspruit police station, Mopani District, early this morning, January 26.

A police officer who is stationed at Hoedspruit was immediately arrested and the member of the SANDF died on the scene. 

Police said that several shots were fired at the soldier. It is said that they had a conflict over a girlfriend and a heated argument erupted between them, leading to the soldier's death.

The incident occurred at around 3am on Friday morning. Police investigations continue.
