Saturday morning's blaze, which took place at around 6:00am at Kerk and Goud streets left more than 50 people displaced, with one patient being transported to a hospital for treatment.

“Disaster management is currently on scene to assist the affected families and have a clear number of how many families are affected. For now, they are doing preliminary investigations into what has caused the fire,” said spokesperson Nana Radebe-Kgiba.
