Nkosindiphile Xhakaza elected new Ekurhuleni mayor after Ngodwana removal.

 

A full council of the Ekurhuleni Metro has appointed Doctor Xhakaza as the new mayor.

Nkosindiphile Xhakaza was nominated unopposed to replace Sivuyile Ngodwana, whose removal left the city without an executive mayor for nearly two weeks.

He is moments away from being sworn in by a magistrate.
