Residents of Limpopo told to wait till mid-May to receive water from delayed multi-billion-rand Giyani Bulk Water Project.

Water and Sanitation Minister, Senzo Mchunu says the residents of Giyani in Limpopo will have to wait until mid-May to receive water from the delayed multi-billion rand Giyani Bulk water project. The project which started in 2010, has faced several delays due to alleged maladministration and corruption. It was initially budgeted for 90 million but skyrocketed to over three billion rand. The project is aimed at supplying water to more than 55 villages in and around Giyani.
